Restart Racing are pleased to confirm the extension of its partnership with Torq Racewear for a fourth consecutive season, continuing a successful collaboration that has run across both TCR UK and the British Touring Car Championship.
Having worked with Torq since the team’s debut campaign, Restart Racing has remained with the British brand due to the quality of its racewear and consistent service. The 2026 season will see the team once again outfitted in Torq’s Superlight race suits, designed to combine comfort, durability, and performance at the highest level of touring car racing.
Over the past 18 months, Torq has continued to invest in its production capacity and product development, expanding its range to include fully printed FIA-approved suits and technical teamwear. Feedback from Restart’s drivers has contributed to the brand’s progress both on and off the track.
The partnership enters 2026 off the back of a successful 2025 campaign, where Restart Racing claimed the BTCC Independent Teams Championship.

Pete Jones, Team Principal of Restart Racing, said:
“Torq has been with us through some formative seasons. From Chris’s early days with the team to our Independent title-winning year, their racewear has stood up to everything BTCC throws at it. The Superlight suits are comfortable, durable, and engineered for performance, and the ongoing dialogue with Martin and the Torq team makes a real difference. We’re happy to continue this partnership into 2026 and see what we can achieve together.”
Chris Smiley, Restart Racing driver, said:
“Having a race suit that fits right, feels good, and performs at the highest level really matters when you’re pushing on track. Torq suits have given me that confidence for years now. It’s great to work with a British brand that listens to drivers and continues to raise the bar.”
Martin Farmer, Founder of Torq Racewear, said:
“Our relationship with Restart started back when I was still growing Torq from scratch and learning how to build racewear that truly meets driver needs. Working with Chris and the team has helped shape our Superlight suits and expanded our thinking on product design and performance. We’re proud to be part of their journey and excited to continue pushing our range forward as Restart Racing heads into 2026.”
