Restart Racing is proud to welcome Pro Alloys as a new technical partner, strengthening the team’s capabilities both on and off the track.
As specialists in alloy wheel repair and refurbishment, Pro Alloys will be supporting the team throughout the 2025 BTCC season, helping to keep our race cars looking sharp even after the toughest race weekends. With the demands of touring car racing putting wheels under constant stress, the Pro Alloys team will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring we stay race-ready throughout the year.
Team Principal Ben Taylor commented:
“Having Pro Alloys on board elevates our professionalism on track. Their ability to rapidly repair and refurbish our wheels keeps us looking sharp, no matter the punishment they take. It’s a vital support that helps us present at our best and operate with confidence.”
The partnership has already hit the ground running. At the recent Knockhill round, Restart Racing’s Chris Smiley spent the weekend embedded with the Pro Alloys-supported team, offering advice, insight and guidance drawn from his years of experience at the sharp end of British touring cars.
Chris said: “It was great to spend time with the Pro Alloys squad at Knockhill. They’ve got serious talent in their garage, and if I could pass on even a small bit of knowledge to help them get that extra edge, I was happy to do it. It’s brilliant to see young drivers pushing hard and making real progress.”
That progress was on full display at Knockhill. Owen Hillman claimed his first ever podium in Race 3, along with a strong P4 and top rookie result in Race 2. Meanwhile, Restart Racing development driver Max Edmundson continued to turn heads, taking his second win of the season and extending his lead in the JCW Rookie Cup standings.

Reflecting on his recent form, Max said: “Racing alongside the Pro Alloys Racing team and having the support of Restart behind me has been a game-changer. The win at Knockhill meant a lot, but just knowing I’ve got that level of backing, especially at a time when the rest of my season still depends on sponsor support, makes a huge difference.”
With Max’s future in the series still uncertain due to funding, Restart Racing is keen to attract additional sponsorship to help secure his place on the grid. For any businesses looking to align with one of British motorsport’s most exciting young talents, Max represents a golden opportunity.
Pro Alloys’ partnership with Restart Racing will continue to develop across the season, delivering technical value to the team and vital support to rising stars on the track.
