Quotes from the first qualifying session of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season
Dan Lloyd: “Really positive day here, I’m happy with how it went. We had some struggles with the car in Free Practice 1 and 2, but we made some mega changes before qualifying, and the car was the best it’s felt so far out of the limited time we’ve had, so I can’t really ask for more than that.
“I was only 0.05 off sixth, which would have put me in Q3, so to be that close after such little running is really positive. The biggest thing for me is how the car felt. I felt that if I had another run, knowing what I had underneath me, that would have put me into Q3, which would have been amazing. So yeah, really positive.”

Chris Smiley: “I think we are out of position slightly and not by a lot. I think the times are just so, so close and it is our first qualifying session in the new car. I think my track position helped me, as I lost the second lap with other cars, but we start 15th, in the points, and need to get ourselves up into the mix for the reverse grid in race three. A big thanks to the team for their hard work over the winter!”
