Quotes from the second qualifying session of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season.
Dan Lloyd: “A really positive qualifying. It’s been another day where we have made quite a few changes to the car, so we did a good job with what we did heading into qualifying. There is definitely some more pace in the car and more pace to be extracted from the soft tyres earlier in the session. With that, I think we could have had a shot at Q3, but overall, I think we did a good job today, and it’s nice to be in the top 10. We can race from 8th, and we have more to come tomorrow.”

Chris Smiley: “I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed, I’m more annoyed that we didn’t optimise what we did earlier in the day. I looked at the time earlier and thought we still had a bit more in it, but the balance of the car changed between free practice and qualifying. The track felt like it gripped up a little bit, and I just wasn’t able to extract the time that I was able to do earlier.
So yeah, a little bit frustrated on that end, but tomorrow we have three races, and we know we have the pace to move forward.”
